Description of the Issue

Team,

Thank you for the years of developing and supporting this FLOSS flagship. I aid my enterprise in software deployment, and many of our users employ Notepad++ -- we are happy to support them in doing so, but the .exe-only release format makes it difficult. Whether using legacy application deployment methods like SCCM or GPO, or more modern tools such as Microsoft Intune, automated enterprise deployment remains difficult for Notepad++, as .exe files are simply not built for this purpose.

Describe the solution you'd like.

Doing some research on past issues and their comments, it seems that there's stigma attached to the usage of the Microsoft Store, .MSIX files, and the like. I understand the hesitation and am not combating the developer's personal choices. I am merely putting in a request as the matter does not appear to have come up in the past few years to see if stances have changed and we can receive a method that supports a wider deployment mechanism.

Side note: this isn't a major issue, as application deployment tools can of course be made to deploy Notepad++ via .exe, it's just a much more manual process, which leads to friction when it comes to bugging software deployment admins to update the version.
