[BUG] Consecutive "Hide Lines" Causes Editor to Become Unresponsive #16316

Description of the Issue

Setting two consecutive "Hide Lines" and then performing actions such as setting the language or switching tabs will cause the editor to become unresponsive.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Open a file or create a new file.
  2. Place the cursor on line 2 and click the "Hide Lines" menu.
  3. Place the cursor on line 4 and click the "Hide Lines" menu.
  4. a. Click the "Language" menu and set it to any other language. The editor will become unresponsive.
    b. Switch to another tab and then switch back. The editor will become unresponsive.

Current Behavior

Setting two consecutive "Hide Lines" causes the editor to become unresponsive.

Expected Behavior

Setting two consecutive "Hide Lines" should not cause this issue.
