Description of the Issue

As noted there - the bug with silent install was probably not noticed until the “OK (Silent)” option was added recently.

There was a similar issue (already fixed) for the non-silent GUI installations: #12202

Steps To Reproduce

ditto the above Community report

Current Behavior

Silent update deletes the possible previous doLocalConf.xml trigger file.

Expected Behavior

Silent updates do not change the previously selected user setting.

Debug Information

Any Notepad++ v8.7.7 and older.

Anything else?
