Description of the Issue
Hi Team,
After updating to new Notepad++ version, we see pinning option available on all the open files when mouse hover over the file. Though its a good option introduced, there is a problem with that. Since that pin option is placed closely beside the Close option for a file, it happens many times that when user attempt to close a file and by mistake clicks on pin option. I had around more than 100+ files open in Notepad++ application. The application is got hanged the moment I clicked the pin option by mistake instead of close option. Also observation was once we pin the file, it starts to move fastly towards the left from the right side to get to the very first file to show. This is again difficult for the user to move back to check the pinned file from the 1st file as number.
Could you please look into this and implement this pinning in a different way?
Regards
Sandeep S
Describe the solution you'd like.
Solution could be the pin option available on file could be controlled by Settings where user can enable it if the user wants or disable the pin feature if not required.
