Description of the Issue

Since introduction of the pin tab feature it seems the setting "show close button on each tab" does not work anymore.

Steps To Reproduce

1. in the preferences > general > check "show close button on each tab"
2. open multiple files
3. see missing close tab button on inactive files

Current Behavior

The close tab button is not displayed.
Also the space required for the (invisible) pin tab button makes the Tab looking a bit strange.

Expected Behavior

The "show close button on each tab" should enable the close button on each tab regardless of its state. Screenshot below of Version 8.7.1
