Description
Description of the Issue
Opening as Administrator affects Notepad++'s "memory" of unsaved and open tabs.
Steps to Reproduce the Issue
- I had several unsaved tabs open.
- Edited a file that required administrator.
- Clicked save.
- Was prompted to open as administrator, clicked Yes.
- Blank - no tabs, not my file, empty - Notepad++ instance opened.
- Opened the file manually.
- My changes were not visible (not sure if that used to work).
- Re-entered changes.
- Save. File updated.
- Open non-admin Notepad++ instance.
- No tabs visible and I had unsaved changes.
Expected Behavior
- I expected file requiring admin access to open in new instance of (Admin) Notepad++
- I expected open tabs, including unsaved tabs, to re-open.
Actual Behavior
- No files opened when Admin Notepad++ started (restarted)
- No tabs visible when Notepad++ is opened in non-admin
