Description of the Issue

I work with files which have very long names, e.g.
'SOME_MODEL_DATA.20221124T060500.K.70000$71323$2023$XXXXXX0MSIBN2C GWF2WF2 GZP1ZP1 GZTLZTL GZ22Z22 MVBK1T9 MSFL3TE MAFZ5EV MLAC5K7.CSV'

This leads to exorbitant wide file tabs and makes it difficult to switch between tabs.

I would like a new setting to limit the displayed filename to e.g. 25 characters.

Steps to Reproduce the Issue

1. create a number of files with names similar like above
2. open multiple files
3. try to switch between file tabs
